15 May Venice

In April, I had the privilege to visit Venice for the night during my Euro-trip. I flew in from London with my boyfriend and another couple of friends of ours. We stayed at The Aman Canal Grande Hotel. Which is the same hotel that George Clooney and Amal recently were married at. The Aman is located directly on the Venice canal. The hotel was originally built in the 16th century, that has been beautifully restored, with much of the original architecture and finishings. There are original ceiling murals painted by Cesare Rotta in the 19th century. From the hotel, you are a walk, or quick gondala ride away from anything. Shopping, food, and the main square (St. Marks square). One evening we took an hour long gondala ride around the canal, it was so romantic, and such a beautiful way to see the city in the evening. My favorite thing was just walking around and taking in all the culture and history the city had to offer. The buildings, and traditions are so unique, I loved every minute of Italy. I would definitely go back if I ever have the opportunity again!
